Medallion Care Behavioral Health is a private, Medicaid funded partial care program. It serves the chronically mentally challenged adult and uses a bio-psychosocial model. It emphasizes the strengths and potential of its members and how these can be developed to produce the highest degree of independence and interdependence possible.The overall goal of the program is threefold:
To empower individuals to function at optimum levels through close observation, psychiatric evaluation and education in a supportive milieu.
To continually develop and redefine itself through client involvement and self expression and always be a forum for the clients' ideas and input.
To be a model of compassion, integrity and professionalism within the community.
